By accessing or using RespondInk (respondink.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
These terms apply to all users of RespondInk, including visitors, researchers, and respondents. "RespondInk", "we", "us", or "our" refers to the team behind RespondInk.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.

What you can do
As a researcher, you can create surveys, define targeting criteria, fund a survey budget, and receive verified responses from matched respondents.
Payment and refunds
You fund surveys in advance. You pay only for responses that pass our quality and fraud checks. Responses that fail verification are not charged. We deduct a 25% platform fee from the per-response amount you set. Unused survey budget is refunded to your account balance within 7 working days of survey closure.
Survey content rules
Your surveys must not: - Ask for respondents' full names, contact details, Aadhaar number, bank account details, passwords, or any information that could directly identify or harm them - Contain sexually explicit, hateful, discriminatory, or illegal content - Deceive respondents about the purpose of the survey - Be used for spam, phishing, or any purpose other than genuine research or market insight
We reserve the right to review any survey before it goes live, and to suspend surveys that violate these rules without refund.
Data ownership
You own the aggregated response data you collect through RespondInk. You do not own the personal identities of respondents. You may not attempt to re-identify individual respondents from the data you receive.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring your surveys comply with applicable laws, including data protection laws in India. If your research is part of an institutional study, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate ethics clearance.
What you can do
As a respondent, you can complete surveys that you are matched with and receive payments to your UPI ID for valid, completed responses.
Honesty
You must answer surveys honestly. You must not: - Provide false demographic information to qualify for surveys - Rush through surveys without reading questions (speed detection is active) - Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to complete surveys - Create multiple accounts to earn from the same survey - Allow others to use your account
Violations will result in your account being suspended and any pending earnings being withheld.
Payments
Earnings for valid responses are credited to your RespondInk wallet within 48 hours of survey completion and verification. Withdrawals to your UPI ID are processed within 3 working days of your withdrawal request. Minimum withdrawal amount is Rs 50.
Tax responsibility
Any income you earn through RespondInk is your responsibility to declare for income tax purposes under applicable Indian law. We provide earnings records upon request.
Your profile
Your demographic profile (age, state, occupation, income range, education) is used to match you with relevant surveys. You can update your profile at any time. We do not share your name, email, phone, or UPI ID with researchers.
The following are prohibited on RespondInk for all users:
Violations will result in immediate account suspension and, where appropriate, reporting to law enforcement.
For researchers
Survey budgets are processed through our payment gateway. All transactions are in Indian Rupees (INR). Payment processing fees (if any, charged by our gateway provider) may be passed on and will be disclosed at checkout. RespondInk does not currently charge GST as we are a pre-registration startup; this will change when applicable and you will be notified.
For respondents
We pay to UPI only. We do not process payments to foreign accounts or non-UPI methods at this time. Payments are subject to verification. Fraudulent earnings will be reversed.
Disputes
If you believe a payment was processed incorrectly, contact us at hello@respondink.com within 30 days of the transaction. We will investigate and respond within 10 working days.
RespondInk and all associated branding, design, code, and content are the intellectual property of the RespondInk team. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.
Survey content created by researchers remains their intellectual property. Response data collected through the platform may not be sold or sublicensed to third parties without RespondInk's written consent.
RespondInk is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@respondink.com. We will process closure within 7 working days. Any earned but unclaimed balance will be paid out before closure if you request it.
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these terms, engage in fraud, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to the platform or other users. Where possible, we will warn you before taking action.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
